Thursday Toots with Sharon

Hey, hey! More of you have posted your layouts on Ed's Orange Challenge - so cool! So many talents out there!

Here are 3 super sunshiney ones that I spotted this week!

"About a Boy" - by hplovecraft - This layout is seriously orange....I love all the different shades and tones, the different textures and the 'loose' feel of it - airy and full of sunshine!

About a boy_hplovecraft

"Charmer" by sindywong - The montage of photos of this little charmer are just too cute! And I love how the monster is looking at the little sweetheart putting on the crown....maybe because they're both wearing striped t-shirts!

Charmer_sindywong

"Don't Steal My Orange!" by joyinthe lord - This is a cool twist on the challenge - the orange is in the photos and the title!  Did you see how she spelt the word orange - some clever letter substitution going on there - so smart!

There are a few days left to the challenge! keep 'em coming!

Stamping with Betty...

Tag

Heyo! This Sunday, I am going to share with you this tag that I have made. Cutie stamps from Crafty Secrets - Fishing Buds Clear Art Stamp is my choice today! I used alcohol inks on transparency for my background and mounted it onto a white cardstock as my base with the text transparency from ARTchix Studio. Then I stamped the fishing buddies onto the transparency and embellished the tag with fibres and metal heart charm. Try it!

Thursday Toots with Sharon

Ed's got a really fun challenge going on right now - ORANGE!  And I had a hard time picking just 3 layouts to give toots to, so hop on over to the gallery to see more orange-tastic treats!

"You are the Light of the World" by Bigeyes  - the best thing (in my opinion) about this layout is the way the lightness of the patterned paper blends into the light on the photo - the combination of photo, paper and title are just spot on.

You are the Light of the World_Bigeyes

"Hari Raya" by Feli - did you notice the cool texture she made in the middle of the circle by masking? And I love how all the concentric circles keep leading your eye to the photo and the title.  Reminds me of yummy hari raya goodies too...

Hari raya_feli

"Her Carriage" by salme - What could be more orange than a pumpkin! I love this take on the challenge!  Its witty, clever and totally unique! I like that the title makes you think a bit....then when you get it...(oh, like Cinderella's carriage), it makes it even cooler!

We're really happy to be seeing lots of you taking part in the challenges!  Keep 'em coming!  Toot-toot!

Thursday Toots with Sharon

Hey hey, more lovely goodies to look at this thursday.  I picked 3 fresh pages from Ed's Stickles Challenge!  (The challenge is still open by the way....go post!)

"Gold" by Paperfections - I love the vintage feel of this one - notice how the use of stickles is very subtle and blends in nicely with the misty look of the masked area and the lovely vintage photo and accents - lovely feel!

A Collection of Beautiful Memories by Enchanted by Scraps
- I love how everything is grouped into the circular frame and how it makes you focus on all the little details inside.  Love that butterfly too!

Beachcomber by hplovecraft - I like the 'light' and 'loose' feel of this - especially the parts with the glimmer mist and the little beads.  Plus the colours reflect the feel of the beach really well....nice!

Keep those inspirational pages coming ladies!

Thursday Toots!

Did you know there are loads of hidden treasures to be found in Laine's Gallery?  Lots of love and creativity have gone into the layouts and projects that have been uploaded there.

Its about time these treasures got a little 'air time' - so every Thursday, we'll be showcasing three projects that deserve to have their five minutes of fame!

Scrapbook Layout: "Always So Cheeky" by gabmummy - I love love love all the yummy textures on this layout = check out the detailing on the clouds, the waves and the texture of the 'sand'.  And I love how she put journaling around the little guy's arms and head - brilliant!  Ooh...and those fish are just too adorable - I happen to know that they're furry!!! Too cute!

Always so cheeky - gabmummy

Scrapbook Layout: "Me, Myself & I" by brainybairn - I really love the fact that this layout uses Webster's pages (which practically everyone seems to be using these days) but uses it in a slightly unusual style - its not super romantic, but feels pretty yet contemporary.  I love how the colours pick out the colours in her photo and the circle behind the title is a brilliant touch!  Isn't it super darling the way she hung her 'chain' of photos from the branch?

Me myself & I - brainybairn

Lantern by Feli - I thought this was brilliant! Especially since she made it from scratch! (Can you believe it?!!!)  I love the Chinese 'feel' of it - perfect for Mid Autum Festival coming up eh?  And the colours come together so nicely.  Also love the pink textured details which really 'pop' and the super cute cloud tassel at the end of the lantern!  Doesn't it just inspire you to make your own lanterns this year instead of buying them?

Do check out more lovely contributions on Laine's Gallery or sign up and start posting some projects yourself too!
