Hello to all and how have your day been? So lets get started with what i will be showing you today it is a handmade "angpow" (Traditional Red packet given to the wedding couple as a gift in terms of monetary means) and card combo but not in the usual traditional colors.

First i made an envelop using Crate paper's restoration papers i like the vintage feeling it gives and hand cut the flower from the papers to make a seal. To highlight the flower center i have included some shiny pearl center . Hand cut some boarders from the papers and aligned it to the center of the envelop.

For the card it was easy peasy as the papers came with playing-card like patters i cut out one of the cards and adhere it to another hand cut circle. To decorate it the card i added chipboards from Maya road which i have misted using Tattered Angels Black magic and am loving the effect cos it kinda of gives it a shiny black with gold bits although its not very clear on the picture. Place the chipboards in between a heart that was already on the card included a half garland and sentiment and its all done! Simple and fun project for the newly wedded couple so try it! Definitely enjoyed making it as it was filled with yummy chipboards and misting. All supplies are available from Papermarket and Laines! Thanks for stopping by! Janice

Here's my little inspiration for the day... altered my camera!... materials used: 7Gypsies tape, any images you love, little text for journalling and little blings for a little touch up...of cos my Liquitex gel medium to glue and sealer for the cover...have a little change to your camera to make your day!

Hi there! Here's a layout I created for PaperMarket in my favourite shabby-floral style, using Basic Grey's Hello Luscious collection along with some flowers and crystal swirls from Zva Creative, Hambly Screenprints and a quote from Unity Stamp.

Some close-ups:

Lots of hand-cut details layered with distressed patterned paper, muslin and doilies. The very pretty butterfly crystal flourish from Zva Creative.

DAILY INSPIRATION WITH JUSTINA

Hello everyone!  Do you have a little corner in your home where you do most of your scrapping?  How about making a little "Create" sign to hang in that corner?

To make this sign, I used old book paper as the background and painted over it using white paint.  And to prettify it, just add butterflies, flowers, and lots of buttons!  More photos and details here.  

Perhaps making one might just inspire you to create even more!  Happy scrapping!

FROM THE STUDIO: Watercolour Travels

Hello! Merdrey here sharing one of the classes i designed this month with Tim Holtz papers! How do you make boyish papers...erm...girly? The trick is watercolour and lot of nice watercoloured colours! (That's quite a tongue twister!) Layout 1 is for all those shopping related photos..

Here's my little project to share with you this Sunday... background for the book... crumpled any thin paper, paint acrylic paint on it... crumpled again if you wish...allow to dry...wrap cardboard to make the covers of this book...stamps and ink the book cover...I have binded up this little book with the crayons as spine...emblishments are from KCO, patterned papers and stamps from 7gypsies... have fun creating your own handmade book...
