Technique Tuesdays with Sharon

Sun sand and sea

Its fun to make textures that imitate nature.  Here's a fun one to try:

Make 'sand' using:

1.  Glossy Accents

2.  White embossing powder

3.  Heat gun

Use glossy accents to draw around your papers (like the squares above) and then sprinkle white embossing powder on.  (I used weathered white) Heat all of it with a heat gun.  The glossy accents will 'cook' and the white embossing powder will melt and look like little white grains of sand (depending on the type of embossing powder you use.

Might be fun to see how realistic you can make it by pressing in some real seashells or coral bits...fun right?
